Director of Religious Education

The Second Congregational Society Unitarian-Universalist of Concord, NH is seeking a half-time Director of Religious Education.  We are looking for someone to lead us in attaining the highest quality program for children of all ages and to support us in our efforts to make the spiritual development of our youth central to our congregation.

We are

• 260 members with 78 registered children and teens
• Teaching a range of classes from preschool through high school
• Dedicated to positive involvement in our community and beyond

Our programs include

• A well-established but fluid curriculum
• OWL---Our Whole Lives
• Coming of Age
• Monthly Family Sundays
• Young people’s annual meeting
• Children’s Chapel services

We envision our RE director will

• Recruit and support teachers
• Work collaboratively with the minister and RE committee
• Promote goals of the RE program
• Teach and model UU principles
• Explore UUism and other religions
• Engage our youth in service to our church and to the wider community
