Overview

Yearly Schedule
Our 2006-2007 church school year for children in Kindergarten through Grade Eight runs every Sunday, from September 7 to June 10. On the first three Sundays of the month, the children have classes in their classrooms. On Sundays when we expect a lower than usual attendance, we do special activities in a three room schoolhouse style. The last Sunday of each month is "Family Sunday," and children stay with their parents in the Sanctuary. (Nursery care for babies and toddlers is available every Sunday.)

From the middle of April through the end of the church year, we do a special “Spring Fling” program that involves all the children together. In February we will do our traditional intergenerational “Special Friends” program.

In addition to Sunday morning Church School we will have lots of intergenerational events throughout the year.

2006-2007 Yearly Schedule

Worship for Children
Twice a month, usually on the second and third Sundays of the month, the children’s morning starts in the sanctuary with the adults of the community. The children remain through the first part of the service and “Moments for Young People”, the children go to their classes.

On the other Sundays of the month, when they do not go to the sanctuary, the children go directly to their classrooms and during their Church School time, share worship in the chapel.

Intergenerational Services
Several times during the year, the congregation’s worship is fully intergenerational. In these services, the children and adults join in worship for the whole morning.
