Ethnic Potluck Suppers feature food from a different country each month, beverage and conversation. It is potluck, but all are welcome with or without a dish and/or beverage. We bring a dish from the featured country each month. It is pot-luck with little organization. Several show up early to set up and some stay to clean up. So, please join us for a dish and experience cuisine from a country with which you may or may not be familiar.

History Conversations to Inspire our Future
Lend your voice and your experience to building an understanding of our history
Which can guide our search for the right minister in the years to come. Here are
Just two questions we need to answer so our Search Committee can do its work:
What in our history as a church and as a congregation makes us most proud?
What in our history would we do differently, if we could do it again?
Every voice counts in these important foundational conversations for our future ministries, not just the new settled minister to be, but all the ministries we do together.
All the ministers considering our church as their next settlement will need to know how we understand our own strengths and challenges, to understand whether their skills are right for us.
See the dates below for 1 1/2-hour conversations, facilitated by Rev. Holmes,
ably assisted by members of the Pru, the Transition Team, and the Search Committee.

Appalachian Treasures presentation
Come to Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, March 10th at 7 pm for a presentation by activist Lenny Kohm of Appalachian Voices about Mountaintop Removal Coal Mining. This free, hour-long information session includes slides or video, and is followed, for those who wish to stay, by an opportunity to write letters. All letter-writing materials will be provided. Learn about the practice of mountaintop mining, and what can be done to end this practice that damages the environment and surrounding communities.
Each committee and church-affiliated group is asked to submit a short article, sharing all the wonderful things the group has accomplished this year (April 1, 2008 through March 31, 2009), what you're working on now, and what your goals are for the future. Please include a list of committee members in the report.
The Annual Report lets all our members and friends see how each committee and group fits into the "big picture" of our dynamic church. It also serves as a historical record: developing a strong "church memory" can help us celebrate our successes, learn from our mistakes, and keep us moving forward!
The deadline to submit reports is April 1, and the Annual Report will be available for your reading pleasure in early May.
Articles may be e-mailed to Lea Smith, church administrator (administrator@concorduu.org) or handwritten and dropped off in the office. Please contact Lea if she can be of assistance (church office: 224-0291).
The gathering in March has been moved to March 24 at the same time.
If you would like help with photo organization, techiniques for digital or traditional scrapbooks, ideas for projects, or need to use cutting/cropping tools from our tool table, then come to a Scrapbookers' Night Out.
