Our annual Holiday 'Shopping Spree' takes place at the Boys and Girls Club of Concord. Church members and friends donate gently used items that might make a lovely gift for someone else. We arrange the donated gifts so that kids in the after school program can find something perfect for brothers, sisters and parents. Talented UU's do a lovely job of wrapping the gifts which the children can bring home to put under their tree. The folks at the Boys and Girls Club tell us that this is one of their favorite activities of the year. You can help out by donating gently used toys, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, hats and mittens or anything else you know might be a welcomed gift for another person. Hands down, the single most popular gift is a box of Legos!
You will see a tree in the parlor decorated with tags describing a gift for a refugee family member. Take the tag, get the gift, and return it wrapped and labelled by Dec 22nd.
