“Salvation Remains the Goal” Rev. Michael Leuchtenberger Why do Unitarian Universalists believe that all are saved? Or do we? The central tenant of historical Universalist theology is that a loving God could not possibly condemn anyone to suffer in hell for all eternity. Contemporary Universalist theology is less focused on life after death. The hope for universal salvation needs to be rethought.
